Spring weight choice - (What DO the springs do ?)
Your
only original concern should be the material weight
found
at
the LOWEST part of your container.
Each patented spring moves the shelf a predetermined
amount of distance by weight a max of 20".
All weight ABOVE 20" is
already in the desired ergonomic working window anyways.
Fact:
Our (1") inch thick shelf is attached to spring tubes
allowing a max
of 20" of movement.
*The fully loaded shelf sitting on the bottom of the container allows
complete loading of the bin
until all usable space of that bin is filled.
*shelves are usually 2" square .135 wire mesh. Other surfaces by
request.
*shelves are powder coated for durability.
*Springs tubes are ID color code labeled-see
below.
*No reduction of container volume.
Define your needs,
please:
*include all weight inside the container;
Include product, anything that hold(s) or
separates your product,
plus anything that could be included/attached on/to the shelf.
How do you determine the correct weight of springs to buy/use?
Let's use a possible job scenario.
A) Start with a 45" x 48" plastic molded basket. Inside usable depth measures
42”;
B) Drop down access doors are on two sides
and measure 20” from the inside basket
floor (prox 29.5" from the
plant concrete floor);
C) Multiple product layers are packed, each separated by plastic
corrugated dunnage;
D) Basket contents weight (all parts & dunnage) = 1000#;
E) The lowest 20" of product in the basket is about 550#.
Your new setup-how to figure this all out:
From the above information given, we would suggest a 600# spring setup (4-150#
springs),
see chart below, to be used. These four
150# spring inserted tubes will be attached to the bins' four corners via
screws. The shelf attached to these
SEEL
spring tubes will
now lower or lift 600# in a very measured way.
Please call if there are ANY questions to get started
correctly.
